The Cosmetology Course Curriculum:
1600 Hours The cosmetology cause study consists of 1600 clock hours covering all phases of cosmetology, skin care, manicuring and pedicure mandated by California State Department of Barbering and cosmetology pursuant to section 7316 of the Barbering and Cosmetology licensing examination and to help the student to obtain the knowledge and skills needed for ant level position in the beauty field. Passing the exam is a requisite in order to obtain a Cosmetology license. The license is a requirement to operate as a Cosmetologist in the State of California. Skills to be developed:
Learn the proper use of implements relative to all Cosmetology service. Acquire the knowledge of analyzing the scalp, face, and hands before all services are done, to determine any disorders. Will learn the procedures and terminology used in performing all Cosmetology service. Will learn the application of daytime and evening make-up to include the application of false strip eyelashes. Will learn the proper procedures of manicuring to include water and oil manicure and pedicure. Will learn the application of brush-on nails, wraps, and nail tips. |
